It was a devastating event. It shouldn't have happened, but it did. It's sad to think about all the potential engineers, business men/women or doctors that were lost in this tragic incident. 5 individuals of the 32 dead were professors - 1 of which was an internationally known researcher.
However, what makes me mad is seeing people pointing fingers at Koreans. It wasn't the fact that he was Korean. It was the fact that he was a depressed, lonely, and quite possibly mentally ill individual. So stop being racist sons of bitches!

Reproductive strategies in insects:

1. Praying mantis and black widow spiders: after copulating, female eats the whole male

2. Flies: male sperm is transferred to female in 5-10 minutes; but copulate for 60 mins - using the rest of the time to inject a "mating plug" into female

3. Demselfly/dragonfly: male scoops out previous sperm with penis (so HIS sperm later do the fertilizing)

4. Bedbugs: male has fake "female genitalia" and persuades other males to mate (and 'waste' sperm)

Now imagine a 60 year old male professor talking about it......
